Kepler-1649c is an exoplanet orbiting the red dwarf star Kepler-1649. It is located 300 light-years from Earth. The most “similar planet to Earth” found so far by the Kepler Space Telescope. Image provided by JPL 2020.
The giant red nebula (NGC 2014) and its smaller blue neighbor (NGC 2020) are part of a vast star-forming region in the Large Magellanic Cloud, a satellite galaxy of the Milky Way, located 163,000 light-years away. The image is nicknamed the “Cosmic Reef,” because the nebulas resemble an undersea world.
This Hubble Space Telescope image of comet C/2019 Y4 (ATLAS) was taken on April 20, 2020.
This image is the cluster Westerlund 2 from Hubble. The image’s central region, containing the star cluster, blends visible-light data taken by the Advanced Camera for Surveys and near-infrared exposures. Image provided by NASA 2015
